Addiction takes many forms. We are compassionate to all suffering any addiction. This site, however, is intended for individuals struggling with alcohol misuse.
Why? Simply because not all addictions are the same and issues pertaining to alcohol are what the site creators know.
Many of us found our sober foundations in the rooms of Alcoholics Anonymous. While we understand many need the anonymity AA offers, it is something we don’t require or guarantee here or when participating in any associated forum.
We don’t proactively publicize the identity of those who gather here, but do not hide it either. We feel our willingness to acknowledge our struggles and victories over addiction will empower others to take whatever steps necessary to address theirs.
